The coat of arms of Windischgräz is depicted in a variety of designs in Valvasor's armory.   The first entry of the arms on plate 199, is depicted as a coat of arms of a Styrian town (the left image on the right). (199) The coat of arms indicates that a member of the family was regarded as a noble family in Carinthia. (255) The arms also indicate being sourced from section of the armory contains arms taken mostly from J. Siebmacher's armory, first published in 1596 of German arms as depicted above left. (274) |
