Why Heraldry? Heraldry is commonly thought of as something reserved for the nobility. However, history has shown that heraldry was also available to anyone, who can of course, afford the expense of having an artist render their coat of arms with examples such as a coat of arms of the town tailor, or the black smith. The beauty of heraldic art, and the innate symbolic representation it holds of the holder of the coat of arms are just some of the reasons why it remains alive today, in the form of municipal arms, national arms, corporate arms, and personal arms.
