In general, most heraldic authorities view municipal arms as a category of corporate arms, which means that the arms are entitled to supporters as part of their grant of arms. In municipal arms or civic arms, the arms are entitled to include what is known as "mural coronet", either replacing the wreath or placed above it as part of the crest.
